Wire Hearts

So I'm getting married next year and I have decided that I want to make my own wedding invites, I also had want to make my own silk flowers (more of that to come) and at one completely crazy point I was going to make my own Bridesmaids dresses, luckily I will not have four beautiful little girls in rags as my nan has now offered kindly to purchase pretty dresses for them woo hoo.

Anyway, I have started making bits and pieces to go on the invites, I have all my cards all my envelopes (sending out ones and RSVP's), I also have a selection of pretty sparkly card (lilac and silver). I now want to put on some lovely wire hearts but instead of buying them I'm going to make them myself.

So last night I sat with some beautiful craft wire, some very fine tweezers and I have now made my first heart, what do you think....

Okay so the following two hearts look awful, it may have something to do with attempting to make them whilst on the train to work. But seriously how can the first one come out looking lovely and the next two look like they have been created by a three year old!

I now think it is going to be a long process if I get to fussy about these plonking hearts, I have got to remind myself they are not all going to come out perfect and the roughness of them will add 'personality' to my invitations......... mmmmmmmmmm.... I'm debating surfing ebay again for pre-made hearts, next thing I have got to do is figure out how to glue the little blighters!!
